Side stuff also have Z Moves and Dynamax. Megas are simply more common because they're the most barebones form changes so it's easy to adapt them into any game, there's not much more to mechanic like with the other gimmicks.

Yeah, mega fug made no sense, even if didn't have a free item slot, it would still be broken, not sure what they were thinking. Still, I think non-legendary megas would be easy to balance if they actually wanted to

I loved most of the Gogantamax designs, and how some moves had an added effect.
Who could they be implemented in later gens? Like, a Dynamax Crystal bracelet or something? Making them still last only 3 turns?
