The most requested type by far, and game freak is at least somewhat capable of listening to fans since they finally gave dunsparce an evolution so I don't think it's impossible.

They added THREE new dog lines, all single type, as well as including Growlithe, Houndour, and Rockruff. Changing their types would let gamefreak shill both classic and new pokemon. Most dog pokemon are also either partly normal, or single type, the exceptions being Houndoom (which would probably be dog/dark) and Hisuan Arcanine (which would probably stay the same).
