They forgot what made Pokemon special to begin with, they forgot everything that made them fall in love with it. They became cold and cynical. Suddenly it wasn't about those tranquil little moments where you could just make your own fun. Or all those old fun times you had linking up and trading. The magic of clicking the system on, and playing the game for the first time. Or the smell of a new pack of cards being opened.
Somewhere along the way they became cold, closing off their hearts. And becoming bitter and cynical towards everything. Every new generation we hear Anons complain that the new games don't measure up. That its all trash. But Pokemon never really changed. The people who said they loved it at first grew up, and lost the ability to feel that childlike wonder in their hearts.
