>>53440972In Japanese, the best are M01 (Mewtwo Strikes Back), M05 (Heroes), M08 (Lucario), M20 (Remake of EP001), and M21 (Everyone's Story).
In English, the first 2 dub films/Movies are the nadir for the 4Kids run (especially Movie 1, nostalgia aside it does not hold up well at ALL and is the worst of all 8 they did by far, in Japanese it's better but still nothing spectacular to write home about- Revelation Lugia and Entei/Unown are both better desu, Lord of the Unknown Tower is good in Japanese and the script in English is better translated + well done compared to the prior two, especially one- M02's also dub at least keeps 2 instances of the Japanese TR OST tracks).
The best dubs of the Movies ironically come during the later 4Kids run, for them, the best Movies in English are M03 (Entei), M05 (Heroes), and M08 (Lucario). M04, M06, and M07 are all passable and have good moments.
M09 is okay in Japanese, dreadful in English because it's TPCi's first outing with all the "new" voices in English & script changes abound in it.
M10 is average.
M11 is below average.
M12, Arceus' dub voice is horrible, also voiced by an alleged rapist Tom Wayland, NEXT...
M13 is terrible, MEEMA.
M14 is decent.
M15 is below average.
M16 is dreadful except for the Kid Genesect.
M17-20 are the nadir of the TPCi dub Movies: 4 dub Movies back to back with dub-exclusive music (a level of suck NEVER reached by 4Kids), script changes everywhere, and some of the worst voice acting in the Pokemon Franchise since Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon- skip them all in English, Japanese MUST.
M21 is good, Natochenny and Knotz drag the dub down to average though.
M22 is terrible, an inferior M01 and in the dub you get the Japanese music but tradeoff for surprisingly worse voice acting than in 1998's dub & TRio dialogue than in M01.
M23 is overrated, it's just average.
Summary. 4Kids had more hits than misses with the Movies and dubs, TPCi had more misses than hits, generally speaking.
