>>53451074man i feel like people make the cutscenes out to be much, much worse than they actually are. even on replays, there were enough things to do in between them (catching pokemon, collecting items, battling tariners, etc.) that i genuinely had no problems with the cutscenes aside from the one that happens right before you get your starter (this was fixed in USUM)
i feel like SM is so much better than SV in many ways
>better postgame (alola was the last region that had maps locked behind the credits)>totems were great boss battles (why are titan pokemon 2v1 and not 1v2 like totems?)>subjective was great (love the night themes for cities and also no ed sheeran or toby fox trash)>also might be subjective but the character designs don't feel like they're pandering to woke twittertards like SV's do>no obvious render distance issues in the overworld like SV>cities actually have buildings with interiors besides pokemon centers and shops>no laughably bad glitches that are easy to run into like SV does>still allowed you to have every pokemon in the game>didn't force you to use the exp share>didn't cut good moves like pursuit , aromatherapy, and signal beam for no reason>didn't cut set modeUSUM i think are overall better than SM though because they have more features like move tutors and mantine surf
the only flaws off the top of my head that both alola and paldea share are that pokemon battles have bland animations and the new pokemon designs are shit, and lack of triple battles too i guess
i find it really hard to believe that anybody could say SV is the best 3d game let alone better than anything
SV dropped the ball in everything
i can't think of a single reason i'd want to play SV over SM/USUM
