I always thought it was weird that kids who started with the DS games like to claim that Gen 1 is an unplayable glitchfest when I remember DiaPer being particularly torturous to finish due to stuff like the OP video. I get that it's jarring to go back and play a game in black and white with goofy spites and UI, but Gen 1 is far from unplayable. At least the Gameboy soundfonts made the music from Gen 1 and 2 sound charming and catchy compared to the disgusting MIDI fake instrumentals and shitty speakers of the GBA and DS. DiaPer in particular has some of the worst music of all the mainline games.
