How are so many competitive players capable of obtaining these rare Pokemon with ideal stats so quickly? You'd think the odds of getting a shiny with good stats would be astronomically low, how do they manage to make it happen???

So the only common pokemon that are being cheated in are 0 speed iv slow pokemon for trick room teams? And maybe 0 attack iv on special attackers for less foul play/confusion damage?

No genning pokemon is ingrained into comp so it's way more than 50%. I blame gamefreak though since getting a good iv mon with the correct hidden power took months of breeding to get until, like, gen 7. Borrowing teams is nice though so atleast the average retard can get a comp team to try out with minimal effort

Shinies are easier now than ever to obtain. They’re functionally worthless, which makes it funnier that people want to flex these awful piss yellow/green color palettes in battle.

It's a 1/16 chance of getting a 0 or 1 IV Ditto out in the wild. Many people still gen because it's even easier to do that, but unless you're going for crazy stuff like shiny AND a specific IV AND a title/size mark it takes no time at all to get competitive mons anymore.

You know the more I see the fact compfags are still genning in teams and not even trying to hide it, the more I realize this shit was put in as consequence of gamefreak just kinda saying fuck it.

i actually lucked out and have both a legit 6 IV ditto and a legit 5 IV ditto with 0 speed in SV from raids.
no 5 IV 0 attack dittos yet but i have a few fathers that can transcend across egg groups at least
