He got FUCKED by his 3D model. Still better than the post-yokai watch era water starters, but that's not saying much.
Was one of those designs that was meant to look mean and imposing that ended up just looking extremely smooth and plain and weirdly wide and pear shaped in the jump to 3D. He got it even worse than Haxorus.

The thing is, Feraligatr is a hybrid. It’s canon that it only stands on two legs for certain attacks / to look imposing (granted the 3D model makes that look comical). They’ve shown they’re willing to rework some of the old models, but they still have a lot of work to do.

The design was one of the best until they made it bipedal. I'm not even against bipedal Pokémon, but Feraligatr hardly looks "feral" when it stands on two legs. The old quadruped design was far, far better.

Feraliagtr on four legs is the best water starter design. On two legs it's very middling.
