All that being big means is that you require fucking absurd wingspans to stay aloft, which megabats have Really, bats have 2 other problems preventing them from getting any bigger: they cannot fly from the ground, they have to climb something and then drop down to fly which causes a lot of problems. And we think megabats are probably near their maximum possible size because they hang upside-down. Bats don't suffer brain damage from this in large part because they are small. When you get too big, you can't hang upside down long and live through it.
