Balltism is more widespread than you think, given it barely blends well with anything besides Chinchou/Lanturn.

Autism. I don't really know why people care about what others do but I like using balls that go with the Pokemon if I like them or plan on shiny hunting them. But like I said it's up to preference. Whatever you use doesn't affect me.

Maybe this is just a placebo effect or something but the Quick Ball doesn't feel more successful than regular balls. Wild pokemon break out of my Quick Balls all the time, whereas usually if I throw a Pokeball at a full HP pokemon, it can catch it on the first try.

it feels this way because the point in the game where you are more likely to throw a full-HP pokeball (early) has more high catch rate pokemon than when you would throw a quick ball
