It's full of the sort of weird shit that happens when a story that's normally told by a team has one guy get full creative power to do whatever he wants, with nobody telling him whether any of it's good or not. (and Takeshi Shudo had a terrible habit of going off on philosophical tangents when he wasn't kept on a leash)
