Haven't played a pokemon game since I was a kid, but I've got a 3DS with Platinum. No rom/emulator, the actual physical game. Is it worth playing through single player with no one to battle/trade with? I hear it's considered one of the best.

Also how can I make the game harder and more fun besides putting the battle type to set? Anything to know/tips going in? Thanks.
