Most people tend to forget that just about everything except for dexit and the Kanto pandering comes out of the poor reception of gen 4.

Ash almost always lost the league but at least the character he lost to deserved to beat him. Alain was above E4 Level and defeated Astrid’s Mega Absol back when Froakie couldn’t even beat her Meowstic.
Dexit has been a thing since Gen 2. Gen 3 started the requiring multiple games in the same generation just to get every Pokémon.
Every game has bugs and glitches.
Game Freak has always been incompetent and greedy. What sets them apart now is their willingness to commit and people suddenly developing higher expectations because games are on consoles now.

Being the first real console Pokémon game, Nintendo no longer segmenting their product lines so Switch sells more than usual, and being an easy to pick up game for casuals while promising some level of competition for esports
ACNH is a shit game too and it sold even more than Pokémon due to that social and casual element.

I meant multiple different games in the same generation, not multiple versions of the same game.
RSE and FRLG essentially cover the entire dex; RSE alone do not have every single Pokémon in it.
With that said versions exclusivity is also scummy.

SWSH's failures echo's through to the games that follow after it.
Despite SV being a much better game, it's performance shit has reached fucking everyone and got Nintendo to put their foot down and tell Gamefreak to immediately make Patches.
Even though Gamefreak and Pokemon's official accounts don't say fucking shit, Nintendo themselves have to constantly apologize.
I bet Nintendo was responsible for making sure The DLC is Fall/Winter and not follow SWSH with Summer/Fall
