>>53470521As the anime draws to a close, I'm curious
>When did you first see the anime?I was 4, and my step brother was watching the OG series, and I started watching with him.
>How many episodes have you watched?Dunno how many exactly, but seen most of the Kanto to Sinnoh arcs, got halfway through BW as a kid when I dropped it, and watched about half of Journeys, and came back to it here and there, especially around the World Championships at the end. Been watching Aim to Be a Pokemon Master currently. I didn't watch XY and Sun and Moon animes because I was in late middle school to early high school, and lost interest after the BW anime, but I always kept up with what was going on in the anime.
>Favorite season? The OG series. I love the rough look of it, and like how all over the place the episodes can be. They didn't try to keep it similar to game plots like later seasons.
>Favorite theme song (original and dub)?Original: Be an Arrow! from BW season 2
Dub: Born to Be a Winner from Johto League Champions
>Favorite episode?Pikachu's Goodbye. Was always gut wrenching to me as a kid.
>Favorite one-off filler episode? Not sure which one exactly, but I thought the Summer Academy episodes in DP were fun. I think Ghoul Daze! was my favorite one.
>What other memories do you have of the anime?I'll never forget summers in elementary school where I would be at my grandparent's house watching the OG anime and playing the gen 4 games on my DS, really nostalgic for me. Also had fun watching the 13th, 14th, 20th, and 21st movies in theaters, it felt cool since by the time I got into Pokemon, the movies stopped being released in theaters, so it felt special.
Seeing Ash and Pikachu go has been really sad for me, he was really a large part of my life, a character I looked up to as a little kid, and just felt so familiar seeing a new region, a new adventure for Ash. I'm thankful to the anime for getting me into the series as a whole, Pokemon has been a huge part of my life.
