When Diamond and Pearl came out there was a contest in which by trading some vouchers in some store you could get different pokeballs made of that foam from stress balls and they were neat looking and fun to play with, never have seen them again, i had a net ball, masterball and repeatball, i still have the last 2

The base lights up from the bottom and it makes like 2 or 3 different sound effects when you press the button (which also lights up). You can also take the ball from the case and display it on its own, but it doesn't actually open.

I probably would have bought a bunch of these, but I didn't realize the Master Ball was a timed exclusive and I missed it. I had the Great Ball preordered and planned to get the Ultra Ball, but the lack of the Master Ball killed my enthusiasm so I only ever got the Pokeball. Don't know why they would make the Master Ball an exclusive rather than the Premier Ball.

I will say I was kind of tempted to get three pokeballs just for the sake of setting their lights to green, red, and blue.
