One of my favorite moments in the anime is when Ash is battle Brandon and his Regice. You assume it's going to culminate in a big Charizard vs Regice showdown, then Charizard ends up fainting right at the start of the match. I don't think there's ever been a bigger "Ash is fucked" moment, outside of that time Tobias sent out Latios.

wish it was DP in the Sinnoh League (and then they ended Ash's story there).

Charizard and Dawn and Cynthia were there to boost BW's ratings after the negative reception most of the series got.

tbf, Charizard defeated Articuno earlier. I think they did it so Bulbasaur and Squirtle could get some spotlight.

I wish we got to see more of his underlooked Pokemon: Muk, Kingler, Heracross, Tauros, I could go on. Keeping Ash around too long made his team go from an ensemble cast to Pikachu + losers who get dumped a gen later ever since Gen 3.

Ash's zard is a retiree now and just wants to relax after his years of hard work shilling the Charizard brand. Watching Alain's and Leon's zard on tv carrying on the shilling in his place must have made him proud (until one of them lost to his best friend, Pikachu).

Charizard would fit perfectly in XY instead of meme frog. Ash's rival used Charizard X, Ash's bond with Charizard was always pretty strong + that would be less of a bullshit than fucking OC form for froge. The OG powerhouse unlocking Mega Evolution would be kino af.
