Then out of fucking nowhere the Rose Tower Plot shoves itself where he becomes a demented psycho about an energy crisis that was never fucking mentioned anywhere until the last fucking minute.

Compare that to Director Clavell, let's say that in the end game he did become evil, you would atleast feel bad and heartstruck because he already had an entire arc of development prior to it with Starfall Street.
Over here Rose was a character with massively missed potential and an asspull plot push that did nothing but rush his character
