>>53480001Has a common problem with many 3D era Pokemon. The "long legs syndrome". Where it's legs feel too dis-proportionally long and human in proportion. Causing the creature that's supposed to be bulky to feel weirdly lanky, compared to the bulkier mons of old which were squatter and lower to the ground, filling up the space nicer.
A more egregious example of this is Obstagoon, better gets across what I mean.
Besides that Chesnaught has a few more awkward elements, in part due to these long legs his torso underneath the shell look weirdly cursed, like its all one color and looks really awkward. Also the extremely round top of his head makes him look like a bald weirdo. If they wanted to go for an armored knight look they probably should have added some some more proper helmt inspiration into the head design, or had the shell extend up past the head as a sort of head guard of it's own while just going full-mammal with the face and not adding any sort of built-in head guard.
Also Beige will never be a popular color of anything, I don't care that there's some clever reason related to chestnut's behind the choice of colorscheme. The end result is a more unappealing creature. Pokemon designs in general have been having this issue where they seem to want to try too hard to be clever or have some design element you have to "get" instead of just making a cool monster.
