>>53482847Ignoring the impact super effective hits have on the game is retarded. Every enemy in Pokemon is frail compared to most RPGs, I can go pick up Etrian Odyssey or something and sometimes the entire 5-man team wailing on a singular normal enemy for a few turns can't take it down, let alone boss fights which can take over 10 times as long. In Pokemon because of how ridiculously strong super effective hits are and how low HP Pokemon are and the game's autistic insistence that the enemy will never have better tools or stats than you have access to (outside of very rare circumstances which 99% of the time are practically scripted fights for how piss easy they are, i.e. Eternamax) no battle ever lasts that long and requires virtually no real thought to complete.
The literal one time in this entire series this was ever subverted was Ultra Necrozma who A. even then was specifically designed so that any starter could take it down with super effective moves and B. using even the slightest bit of thought in that fight beyond "use da super effective move" turns it into an absolute joke.
This franchise is easy as shit, every design element pushes it towards being easy as shit from free healing to saving anywhere to imbalanced mechanics in the player's favor, and BDSP is no exception. It's not a bad franchise for being easy, but it is piss easy and only retards who desperately need to prove themselves by playing muh hard games think otherwise.
