I don't get what you want out of it but as someone who clocked over 999 hours on a single cart of Y I can tell you that I forgot almost everything that wasn't be breeding and battling in that gen. Megas were fine. Some people want Megas back. Was the game forgettable? I just said it was. Was it TERRIBLE? Not really. It was just ok and most people agree on that if they don't just love it for the online PSS etc.
tl;dr: get a life from hating X/Y and play pokemon games for FUN.
