I even got racially abused for my ethnic sounding name kekWe used to have a lot of threads where people would select squares and we'd make our own wacky takes on game covers too. There used to be a lot more 'serious' discussion about actual lore too, maybe I'm getting mixed up with /co/ but I seem to remember a very wild post about multiverse theory in Pokemon from at least 2013, if not a few years later.
As much as I don't care for XY, it was probably the most comfy this board has ever been since its inception. My fondest memories of it are probably playing online, in part with people from /vp/
