Fucking try and you will get off grid in a matter of minutes. Not that it matters because you can run into encounters BETWEEN tiles and be stuck misaligned after battles.

No. 4 (really 8) directional movement is in the game, but travel distance is not related to a tile grid. Hell, if you try to rock left and right, you'll see small the small movements up and down.

Is it an ootion added in an update or something? Haven't touched the game since I dropped it around Eterna because of this, affection, flat exp share, and Grand Underground scaling to badges without telling me so I missed out on encounter tables.
