i would say it's really important to be able to discuss and debate different opinions - but i think it's also important to respect all viewpoints. even if something is not "canon" - the fact that it brings joy and happiness to anon is something that we should be able to let be. not necessarly focus on what's "good" or "bad" - sometimes we should just be able to enjoy things for what they are. it's important to try and create a community that is welcoming and understanding of all perspectives
