Shouldn't we be enjoying what is there in a game as opposed to what isn't? I learned this lesson with XY and ORAS the hard way. I didn't make that mistake with either gen 7 and gen 8 and as a result, I thoroughly enjoyed playing them- gen 9 is a bit different because I have never been a fan of open world games that aren't GTA, but I think someone who is actively playing them may come to the same conclusion I did with 7 and 8. I am also not trying to shill for playing the new generations as they come out, I would much rather people actually actively play and participate in communities for gens that they like akin to
pkmnclassic.net or the Japanese Triple Battle ORAS meta, but people consistently make reasons as to why their gen is good, some of which stand on their own without comparison to other gens.
Wouldn't you all be much happier if instead of bait threads that start with Twitter screencaps you could go to a dedicated thread for generations 4-8 outside of /wfg/ and have the tab open, maybe post a bit if things come up and play the games with people? We have enough people that post about how superior those games are, but no one playing them.
