That's fair, but again, everybody gets their own experience and nowhere did the person say that the game wasn't challenging.

Regardless, while I didn't make that specific guide, I played in a similar manner, and the game was still challenging, rotating Pokemon makes it so you are still roughly 10 levels behind each challenge and I never really saw the level caps, I just knew the order that would be fun for me personally.
Besides, the game pulls a lot of bait and switch on your path with high levels coming out of nowhere to give you a challenge regardless of how you play, like the Desert Pokemon on your way to the Fishing City or how majority of people accidently take Lake Casseroya on their way to Medali
