It is still pretty useful to get good IV foreign mons if you breed shinies Now im sure some people pumped em into WT when the game released but that is a fair while ago now, and at this point they few people who did so probably do different mons if they are at all active.
If you actually wanna do it properly i think there are Traderooms if you use Koraidons and Miraidons dex numbers as the code, and due being with Randoms, but it is permatrading rather then Touch IIRC, so you gotta buck up with your Non-Bike lizard.
Honestly getting the trade is relative easy as long as you are willing to give up your non-bike Miraidon, aside from the usual fact that more people have Violet then Scarlet so you probably get paired with Violetfags more often then Scarlet ones.
