Cradily wasn't on-model in any mainline game until gen 6. In gen 3 the tentacles were short, thin, and orange(on the regular sprite) when they were supposed to be long, flat, and pink.
This was not rectified in gen 4. In gen 5 they fixed the color and made the tentacles longer, but committed greater errors. The front facing model has only 7 tentacles and the the back model had 9. Cradily has 8. The 3d model from gen 6 finally made the tentacles the correct shape and length and also standardized how lileep's head tentacles are supposed to be displayed.
