Hoenn has way better pokemon distribution than SINnoh. Sinnoh is literally filled with Kanto shitmons and tries to piggyback off of Kanto's 151 dex so bad. In fact, every Sinnoh does is worse than Hoenn. Contests, bases, Battle frontier, legendaries, etc.
