Pokemon Legends was so cozy to play. I remember when it came out and I played it with myt boyfriend every evening after work. It was fun catching all those Pokemon and doing quests - some tedious, some cool. Nevertheless it was a breathe of fresh air. Too bad that GF abandoned this game...

I finally played this game after hearing how great it is for the past year and it is severely overrated. The concept of catching pokemon to progress was refreshing at first but it starts to wear thin real fast and the limited soundtrack and barebones writing don't do the stale gameplay any favors. The artstyle and regional pokemon are cool but the only truly good thing that this game offers are the new waifus, Irida in particular. I also found the sound effects and general sound design to be grating, and the strong/agile fighting styles aren't really taken advantage of as much as they could be. The pokemon formula in the mainline games is a bit played out but after doing nothing but catching pokemon in PLA for 30 hours straight you really start to crave gym battles again.

Is there a big difference between playing PLA on the Switch docked and connected to the TV vs. playing it on Switch Lite? Because I have a Switch lite and PLA looks like ass. It looks even worse than SV and SwSh to be honest.

This is retardation. PLA and SV both have shit graphics but at least PLA has a solid and consistent art style that adhered to the limitations. SV is just a bunch of assets stitched together in an incoherent style with a bunch of tech features made to impress and nothing more (Pokémon textures, sun rays etc.).

That alone makes PLA look better than SV.
