They removed important aspects of her romance like the ribbon with absolutely no explanation as to why.
They purposefully hid her appearance and went out of their way to avoid advertising it until the episode came out which didn't happen with any other girl.
She lost the most out of any girl. At least May had the excuse of her VA, with Serena these were calculated and purposeful decisions on the behalf of the writers.
