The monsters have always been the stars of the series for me, not the gameplay, which is just a spice, and absolutely not the fucking story. You want me to play something new, I need new monsters. Your region and your gameplay innovations/difficulty matter in that they make it actually fun, but why bother without new content? I'll just play SS again otherwise. And the story, that shit is there to give a structure/reason behind what I'm doing, if you manage to pull off a good one then excellent, but nobody has ever fucking done that with pokemon fan creations. The most that I've seen is 'okay'.
