Nope. Truly, the writers are pure scum. Last fucking episode with Ash and they couldn't even be fucked to write something decent. They had so many easy options to choose from too.
At least we got this gem out of it. What a fitting scene to remember this episode by.

I consider JN136 the true ending of the anime. It was kino from start to finish,and was a great send-off for both Ash and Goh.

IMO 136 was the proper ending, and this series was an homage to Ash and to leave themselves open for OVAs or future movies.
