Nah, Jaden's dub VA got harassed for his portrayal which made him stay away from the character for years.
It was only recently that he started to show up to YCS events and voice Jaden again, he's a cool guy

They didn't realize how good they had it, nor did they realize how bad it'd actually get later.
5Ds was amazing (at least until the end of the Dark Signer arc), but everything after was a pure nosedive, Vrains and beyond are borderline unwatchable. GX is practically high art by comparison.

I loved laid-back Season 1-2 Jaden. I get that going from Atem to Jaden was a jarring personality switch for a MC but the happy-go-lucky demeanor mixed with the school setting was peak comfy.

And honestly, he seemed less of a Gary Stu to me than Yugi because his deck was pretty straight forward once that you knew his Elemental Hero Fusions and their effects.

Nobody liked Jaden whem he came out just like nobody liked Yuma later on.

Yusei was liked from the beginning though. Yuya had mixed reception and everything from Vrains onwards is garbage.

Zexal was a bit like GX: it starts slow and boring but becomes better as it goes on. Arc V had a good first season and then it was a trainwreck.

Arc V and Vrains were so bad they killed the anime. Sevens and the new one are OK toy commercials.

Although Season 3+ of 5D's is not s good as the earlier stuff, it's still way better than ZeXal+ which AT THEIR BEST are just soft reboots of DM with worse MCs and convoluted duels, and at worst like ARC-V complete and total trainwreck
