>Gen I remake is called a Gen III game
>Gen II remake is called a Gen IV game
>Gen III remake is called a Gen VI game
>Gen I remake (again) is called a Gen VII game
>Gen IV remake is called a Gen VIII game
Why do people have the audacity to call a remake a new generation? Remakes aren't generating anything new, they're literally the same old games with updated graphics and slight adjustments. If the game doesn't take place in a new region, it's not a new generation.
