Replaying XY and there's an NPC who blocks you from going east to Snowbelle City because "you're not ready" even though it's an actual city that has people travel to it.

It's more jarring that it tries to justify itself instead of the BW2 joke of

The fact that evil organizations have no problem with committing crime, but they'll still respect the rules of a Pokemon battle. They'll fight against a kid fair & square, and even give them their money after they lose.

Also the fact that bad guys are easily forgiven. They just quit the organization they were part of, and they're allowed to live normal lives.
