Serious question: are the gen 7 starters the second most iconic fully-evolved set, only behind the OGs? I feel like it has to come down to either these guys or Hoenn. As popular as Greninja is, nobody gives a fuck about Chesnaught or Delphox whose name I had to fucking Google. Delphox gets mogged hard by Braixen too.
Meanwhile, you could almost argue that gen 7 had TWO shillmons. Decidueye got a big push, and was in Pokken and Arceus. Also the first in S/V. Incineroar had tons of merch, a prominent anime role, was tailored to have high usage in VGC, and a Smash Bros appearance. Primarina would be the "lesser" one, but was still very featured. It's also a feminine mon that actually looks like it would appeal to girls instead of just desperate low-standard coomers like Meowscarada.
If not, then which ones? The Hoenn trio?
