They wanted a generic rock kaiju but didn't want to drop the coal locomotive theme. What should've been two separate lines got merged into this abomination.

kaiju absolutely was not the ideal end for the line
Rolycoly has a lil' wheel and headlight, and its evos should've retained those design inspirations, not inexplicably turned into a fat rock monster

I like the little guy, and whole I like Coallosal for being it's own thing, I'm kind of sad that the wheel theme got lost.

I actually like that they float, because it means the terrain doesn't cuck them and they are one of the few Pokemon who can actually catch up to you

this. it seriously ruins the whole fucking concept. i love their designs but they inexplicably fucking levitate because gamefreak was too rushed to actually code it moving on the ground, and it's probably gonna levitate in every single fucking medium it's depicted in officially from now on because of this miscommunication
