I think mints and bottle caps are fine. It made it more likely for people to be able to compete with the rampant cheating the series has had for decades, now. Like, don't even pretend for a second everyone was putting maximum effort into raising Pokemon instead of just generating them, dude.

Yes, actually. I agree with this one. Make it a Key Item you pick up outside the story line (maybe early on) and have to work to find, then give it a toggle in the menu so you can turn it on and off. Start it off by default. Alternatively, make it part of the story line for the player to get it, but give it a cost to use. Like, reducing the EXP Pokemon get when it's toggled on or reducing the money won. You could even add another item that functions like the old hold item EXP share on top of this stuff, so people have options if they want them. having more options is never a bad thing.

Here's a better addition - remove those, but also then nuke the entirety of official competitive and send a few letters to shut down Smogon and their 'simulator'. Publicly discourage "metagames" and promote online battles as purely friendly competition between friends.

Oh and while we're at it publicly shut down PokemonChallenges and all nuzlocketard related content as well, their forums, their subreddit, pay off Discord to nuke those too. Hire yakuza assassins if need be.

Just get rid of all the faggots who have ruined Pokemon by trying to turn it into a 'game-y' or 'hardcore' experience.

You can get rid of a lot of those groups by adding more RNG to the game or changing the way battles are run and how they work to make them less easy to predict. No joke. Meta is allergic to RNG and stuff like affection values. Just integrate them further into the battle system and you'll kill a lot of the metagame guys off. Pokemon will develop a melee style split. Also, I prefer the idea of adding limitations to online competition over straight up removing it. Give Pokemon values based on a number of criteria and them tell players that tournaments will not allow teams exceeding specific values, that'll make them actually have to think about it.
