Was it the waifu pushing GF started doing in later gens? The fact that Marnie has a theme and the other 2 don't? Is it because of the little sister thing marnie has going for her?

Marley wasn't a recurring character in your journey, she was a one time helper. Also helps that Marnie's game was presented from a generation with more character acting, so her on-screen mannerisms are going to be memorable more than her dialogue boxes. Overhead games, a lot of characters' chibi models just sort of blur together.

Wouldn't blame them if they didn't know about Marley being in Platinum's Shaymin event if they played bdsp recently. Bdsp in general is a disappointment, especially to fans of the stat trainers
