Which is the best way to play Pokémon Green GB for a non japanese speaker?

I have found two translations, one with some errors/unfinsihed (https://www.romhacking.net/translations/1629/) and a Pokémon Blue conversion to green (https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/876/)

I beat the blue conversation one several times and it was fine. Didn't have any issue with it.

The Blue one.

Red/Blue are pretty much identical to Red/Green in terms of encounters etc., while Blue is different from both (despite the sprites from Japanese Blue being used in internation R/G). Technically Blue is the "different" version from the RB people are familiar with, with different trades and I think encounters, different Pokemon for sale at the game corner, different Unknown Dungeon map, etc.

If you want to go super autist you could try to find a hack that uses the Blue data with the original R/G sprites, so that it's completely different from whatever version you probably played as a kid.

Oh wait never mind. I assumed "Blue" meant a hack of Japanese Blue, but it might not be?

Basically just play Japanese Blue, whether you can find a translated version or not. Japanese Green is pretty much identical to international Blue besides the sprites and some glitch corrections etc. that were also applied to Red.
