Most of the time I'm not aware that Girafarig existed prior to Gen 4.
My first game was Blue and I played all games up to USUM.

It's so hard to say, there are some obvious ones but with Bisharp getting an evo that no one expected, it kinds throws you off a bit.

I think Granbull, Torkoal, Chimecho, Tropius, Luvdisc, Klefki, Minior will likely get something.

Torkoal is already looks complete and fully grown designwise, and from a compfag point of view it’s already perfect, it’s easily the best non legendary Fire type outside of Shillderace, Inshillneroar, and CHARIZARD.

comp-wise, that's because they slapped drought on it, let's not forget that it was an actual PU shitmon before gen 7
I'd also argue there's a lot of directions they could take it from a design standpoint

if they could make an evolution for bisharp I don't think torkoal is a hard sell
