>>53570029>At least is bananas as it gets: you are the exiled bastard child of the murdered king, and you met all these people, so now you have to choose between enforcing your blood right to rule over, or join the people and install a (very weak) democratic government.if only the empire MC wasn't forced to become a schizo because of some bullshit magic sword he was forcibly given by an asshole
what does the sword do? randomly turn the holder's view purple, provide walls of cryptic dialog, give flashbacks of literally anything, drive the holder insane, and probably make the holder unable to do anything while banished to purple land, and allegedly the sword can't be discarded because of some curse
i think that the only hope for either of those choices is maybe trying to find a therapist (good luck since those don't exist in reborn-inspired games) and trying to raise a heir not crippled by non-consensual cursed artifact transfer
that, and when the madness finally takes its toll, either burying the sword regalia alongisde its unwilling owner inside a big box of do not touch, or burial via shooting into the sun (or since it would probably be cheaper, onto some inhospitable rock no one wants to be on, of which there are plenty orbiting the sun)
you can't convince me otherwise that the only reason the empire MC hasn't fucking gone postal from fucking everything (cursed sword of schizophrenia inducing +1, hundreds of walls of text involving just about every shitty political ideology the writers don't actually understand, watching one of the only likeable characters get murdered for the writer's fetishes, learning just how fucked up the region is, almost dying several times, having to go through the LMAO DUDE WEED chapter, losing sanity from taurosville's amazing map design, terrible writing, etc) is because he's still mostly directly controlled by the player, and because of certain responsibilities regarding his childhood friend
