>>53535182True, but part of Home's low sub count is that those of us who REALLY care about our collection took one look at that nonsense in conjunction with dex cut meaning we can't just use the free trial or pay the subscription once to move everything then ignore it until its needed again and turned away. This fragmented an already small portion of the fanbase and making it seem like even less people care in the eyes of TPC/Gamefreak, so now they can say "SEE, few people cared to begin with, and now almost nobody cares. Why are we spending time and resources to make pokemon transferable?" and soon enough they'll kill it entirely.
Wouldn't be surprised if gen 10 is the point where they make sending all pokemon to Home a one-way transfer with the games themselves not keeping track of the dex at all as a way to try to force more players to use Home to make money off the service, then do the same with 11 but remove trading from the games so you have to do it through Home, then if subscriptions have seriously taken off continue like that until it dies and if not announce that gen 12 will be a hard reboot for the series and kill Home connectivity entirely before shutting down the service a year later once Go has finally pissed away what remains of its playerbase and gets shut down for no longer being profitable enough. Then pokemon becomes just like any other monster collecting rpg where the only significance old games have is knowing more of the lore if you care that much.
