Pretty certain Purakkusu and heracross existed concurrently for awhile and are different pokemon entirely.
Also calling Jaranra a "beta tangrowth" is extremely disingenuous, the only thing they have in common is being a tangela evolution. The concept and design philosophy is completely different.

So yeah I'd have to say Tangrowth is pretty much the only decent one out of them all

I think the jumpluff and skiploom we ended up with are better (though the colors are definitely more interesting here) but beta hoppip is definitely an improvement

SV sure, but it's performance holds it back
And while I absolutely love PLA and consider it the best shit since Gen 5, it is disconnected from the actual generation because Gen 8 is fucking trash.
And it's not like a Platinum situation cause the DLC for SWSH requires you to still have the garbage base game
