Abridgestery dungeon is amazing and, more importantly, finished.

I can also recommend Teeter's PMD: The rogue team, although it only started recently so there's not much of it yet

liked rangers of sky but there's not a lot there yet. white rose made me chuckle more than I expected

i think reading through victory fire's reignited the pmd fever in me - there's a bit in there that's like "we call ourselves their trainers, but pokemon call us their partners" that i can't stop thinking about.

I always get a laugh when a comic hasn't even gotten to the characters officially forming a team or touring the village for the first time in over a year of production. Honestly some comics would benefit from montage pages where they show a few key panels alongside a few paragraphs to get through certain segments.

I wish I had any motivation man. I had a bunch of great ideas for a fun Mystery Dungeon comic that would focus on the actual dungeon exploration and adventures, but I just didn't have the drive to keep going with it. Fuck.

I think I've seen one or two finished comics total and i've been reading pmd webcomics since 2014
(those comics were Gigi's Sky Nuzlocke and Abridgestery Dungeon, btw. Maybe On Borrowed Time if you count being rebooted as being finished but I don't because it wasn't given a conclusive ending and the reboot is totally different mainly because it's now a gay romance first and an edgy melodrama second.)

lol no, at best most authors have only a vague idea of what they want to happen in their comic but mostly make it up as they go along. Resulting in run on stories where the author keeps coming up with new ideas until eventually they get burnt out and never even get close to something that could be considered a conclusion

Not much, if you already have a set outline you're better than 90% of webcomics by default. Of course it is preferable for the story and art to be, you know, actually good/not shit so that people want to read it, but that can come down to personal taste.

One thing that I've seen happen too many times is that comics get bogged down with showing every detail and minor conversation that EVERY character has during their day, so don't be afraid to cut unimportant portions of the story. Not every scene has to have plot bombshells going off 24/7, but don't spend 10 months of updates focusing on the main cast faffing about in a clothing store.

Oh, and a consistent update schedule and overall timeframe for how long the comic will run for, clearly communicated to the audience.

ex: "I, the author, plan on outputting 3 pages per month, a rate at which will finish out the story in 4 years time barring unforeseen events."

I'm not experienced in making web-comics, so that is all the general advice I can give based on what I have observed. Anything further would require me to have the scrip in hand to give feedback. I'm pretty sure /co/ has a dedicated general to the subject of writing webcomics so I'd swing by there and see if they have any guides and advice for you.
