You do realize that this isn't black and white right? You even said it yourself, "too unpredictable", the idea that either you must allow the game to be a chaotic cluster fuck where a single bad prediction that you couldn't have ever reasonably made can lose you a game or you must remove every little bit of RNG from it is literal mental illness and not how any competitive format has ever worked
Its actually laughable to me that I need to explain to someone how rules (which exist in VGC too by the way, don't know if you noticed) work but then again this is the board with the lowest mental age on this site
