>>53543516A good example was a run and bun attempt I saw this weekend.
A guy spent 45 minutes with the documentation and his 20 Pokemon pool agonizing on how to beat a battle. But w story battle, just a pokemon trainer above route 111. He finally gets to the battle... And on the first turn the AI makes a good and uses a move that "wasn't the most optimal!" (His words)
He literally sat there for 5 minutes, not even continuing the fight, because his entire plan had been wrecked. He was going to *gasp* lose ONE Pokemon. Of twenty. After he managed to calm his autistic rage down, he actually managed to pivot the battle and come out on top without losing anything, because he figured out an extra line of play.
But here's the thing - why did this random fight need to be a run-ender? Why did ONE MOVE shatter this man?
Bad design, and worse gameplay.
You know what a normal person, who wants content, would do?
Ask that no documentation be provided, and just do a regular playthrough observing teams and taking notes.
Then coming back for nuzlockes, revising notes with each successive attempt as they get further.
This is the way ANY OTHER deathless gameplay goes. Why do these e-celebs need dev-provided bibles of every encounter, why do devs design encounters that need the bible?
It's just garbage, parasitic garbage.
