>>53557470In my particular order with some room for debate on arrangement:
1. 10 in Japanese with the Fansubs. You'll know they're the fansubs if Ash yells at Palkia, calls him an idiot, and make demands
2. 1 - Mewtwo Strikes Back, it still holds up so darn well
3. 3 - Spell of the Unknown, if it wasn't a Pokemon Movie, the plot would basically be a Hiyao Miyazaki film and it would be a really good one. I could talk for a long while about this film.
4. 21 - The Power of Us, the best art style and animation of any of the movies on top of being an entirely character driven plot and directed by the guy who did the XY anime who clearly is passionate about Ash as a character and doesn't dissapoint here
5. 2 - The Power of One, it's a bit hokey with the chosen one aspect but epic in presentation
6. 8 - Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, great adventure, fantastical location, Lucario was a good character
Honorable Mentions include Arceus and the Jewel of Life (in Japanese because the English VA for Arceus is absolutely awful and should be avoided, the fact that Dan Green was in that movie and DIDN'T voice Arceus is ridiculous, the only reason I can possibly imagine why the fuck up was justified was because he did Entei in Spell of the Unown and didn't want to double dip on legendaries)
And Heroes, definitely not my favorite but it's clear there was a lot of passion behind this movie. The city styled after Venice is also gorgeous.
Movie 9 with Manaphy would have been worth mentioning had Veronica Taylor still had been voicing May when it came out. Alas, we finally got a movie centered about May and 4kids went under beforehand.
