Crobat's design was flawed from the start. It looks cool overall but should have had it's own thing.
A proper natural progression for Golbat's final form would be if it continued to grow its long fangs out to be even bigger (instead of becoming weird human-like short teeth), and using it's massive huge wings like a Dracula cloak, not randomly splitting the wings in halves.
