why is the online environment and online content of SV structured the way it is? it is all designed to create a FOMO. mystery gift, battle seasons, events lasting two or three days. what gives. is this part of the wild success of pokemon? they understand how to psychologically manipulate their player base? there are times i feel compelled to do something in the game because of a time gate, but to be honest, i really dont feel like doing it. the samurott with the mightiest mark and the others. i had a FOMO. i just wanted those marked pokemon. why? because FOMO. can we have an honest discussion about this and the psychological affects this may have? i don't like feeling like a dog in a cage that jumps on command, but the time based events sure make me feel like one sometimes.
